WOSCA Bracket Drag Racing Day

The dates:

May 31st, 2008
The times:

Gates open at 10 am, Driver's meeting at 10:30

Time Trials 11:00 am

Eliminations 1:30pm - finished
The Event:

Unlimited time trial runs until 1pm

Single elimination brackets will commence until one winner is determined.  There will be prize money of at least $100, possibly more if attendance allows.

 

Bracket racing is a handicap system and the fastest car is not always the winner.  The most consistent car will be the one to beat, so go ahead and bring the grocery getter!  A full explanation will be given during the driver's meeting.

 

This event is not restricted to WOSCA members so feel free to invite your friends.

 

After the Drags: Everyone will be gathering at a watering hole for some bench racing.  The location will be announced at the drags, but GT's on the Beach in Port Stanely is the most likely if the weather is good.
The Rules:

Cars must be street legal (i.e. safe) and must have mufflers.  IT cars are OK.  Call if you have questions about vehicle eligibility.

 

Cars can be shared during time trials and test & tune, but not during brackets.  Entry fee is per driver.

 

Supplementary Regulations

 

·        Be courteous and obey the rules of the road while not competing. 

·        Any "practicing" and/or warming up of tires at or near the event site will result in disqualification from the event.

·        All competitors must attend the drivers meeting prior to the start of the event.

·        The Event and / or Series Organizers have the right to refuse entry or disqualify a competitor from competition for any reason.

·        Decisions of the organizers are final.

 

Track Regulations

NO OPEN EXHAUST.

NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES. Anyone found with alcohol
will be removed from the premises and MAY be subject to arrest!!

NO GLASS BOTTLES allowed

NO SHORTS OR SLEEVELESS SHIRTS allowed while racing.

SPEED LIMIT on return road and in pits is 10 M.P.H.

BURN-OUTS allowed only in the BURN-BOX.

PASSENGERS (1 only) - allowed in 14.00 and slower cars only.

bullet

HELMETS - required in all cars quicker than 13.99 seconds.

bullet

SEATBELTS - must be worn at all times while racing.

bullet

HEADLIGHTS must be on while racing after dusk on the track, on the return road and in the pits and staging lanes.

NHRA Rule Book enforced.
