| The date: |
July 17th, 2005 |
| The times: | Registration starts at 10 AM and closes at 10:30 AM. Driver's meeting at 11 am (First car around 11:15 am). All competitors must attend the driver's meeting! |
| The Event: | Co-hosted by the CSCS;
this fun event will not be scored as part of any WOSCA series. We want
to put on a demonstration of our sport, so "ride-alongs" will be encouraged
for all drivers willing to take a passenger. There may be an opportunity for non-competitors to register for fun-runs later in the day. |
| The Rules: |
The same as the region rules (here). All vehicles will be paxed based on CASC-OR pax factors and scored on corrected times
All drivers must wear a Snell M95 (or better) approved helmet. Helmets labeled Snell only without a M95, M2000, SA 95 or SA 2000 label will not be permitted. DOT rating alone without a SNELL sticker will not be permitted. Loaner helmets will be available, to share, for new competitors.
All cars must have a number clearly displayed on both sides of the car. Shoe polish is acceptable.
If you would like to run a non-street legal car, please consult the CASC-OR rule book to make sure your safety equipment meets CASC-OR guidelines. Cars that are street legal and registered need only have the factory seat belts and seats, so long as they are competing on DOT approved tires.

| Location: | |
| Directions: |
From London: Drive east on the 402 until you get to the 2nd Strathroy exit: Hwy 81 (now county rd 81). Follow Hwy 81 North through Parkhill (note hwy 81 makes 2 turns at the town of Parkhill). The track is approx. 15 km north of Parkhill on the right hand side (east) of hwy 81.
For alternate directions see the tracks website here: http://www.grandbendmotorplex.com/directions.html
Note: a more detailed description from London can be found by reading the directions from Buffalo on the site.
For those people in the surrounding area you may be able to plot a better route for your self by consulting a good Ontario map. The track is just a few km South of Grand Bend on 81.
BE WARNED! There are always OPP radar traps near Parkhill! Usually north of town in my experience. |
