WOSCA St. Clair Demonstration Event

Nov, 13th, 2005  CONFIRMED!

The times:

Registration starts at 9:30 AM and closes at 10:30 AM. Driver's meeting at 11 am (First car around 11:15 am).  All competitors must attend the driver's meeting!

The Event: This event is being held as a demonstration event for a possible future venue.

The event will consist of 5 or more competition runs followed by fun runs.  The number of runs will be time dependant and the number of competition runs will be announced before the last run (there will never be more than 7 competition runs).

The Rules:

The same as the region rules (here).  All vehicles will be paxed based on CASC-OR pax factors and scored on corrected times

 

All drivers must wear a Snell M95 (or better) approved helmet.  Helmets labeled Snell only without a M95, M00, SA 95 or SA 00 label will not be permitted.  DOT rating alone without a SNELL sticker will not be permitted.

Loaner helmets will be available, to share, for new competitors.

 

All cars must have a number clearly displayed on both sides of the car.  Shoe polish is acceptable.

 

If you would like to run a non-street legal car, please consult the CASC-OR rule book to make sure your safety equipment meets CASC-OR guidelines.  Cars that are street legal and registered need only have the factory seat belts and seats, so long as they are competing on DOT approved tires.

 

Supplementary Regulations

 

·        Be courteous and obey the rules of the road while not competing. 

·        Any "practicing" and/or warming up of tires at or near the event site will result in disqualification from the event.

·        All competitors must attend the drivers meeting prior to the start of the event.

·        The Event and / or Series Organizers have the right to refuse entry or disqualify a competitor from competition for any reason.

·        Decisions of the organizers are final.

 

The cost:

Entry fee $20, $10 discount for WOSCA members.  All competitors will be required to course marshal.

Spectators are welcome and there is no charge, but all spectators must stay in designated areas.  All people in the paddock area must sign the waiver.

401 to Exit 81, Bloomfield Rd.

Head North on Bloomfield toward Chatham.  Follow Bloomfield approx 3 km until it ends at Riverview Dr.

Turn Right onto Riverview Dr.

The 1st set of lights you will hit will be Keil Dr. Turn left onto Keil Dr.  Cross the bridge over the river. The next set of lights you will encounter will be Grand Ave.

Turn Left onto Grand Ave.

 

College is at 1001 Grand Ave. It will be on your right hand side.

Coming into Chatham on old Hwy#2 (this is quicker if you are coming from Sarnia or Strathroy):
Hwy 2 turns into Grand Ave once you are in the East end of Chatham.
Follow Grand Ave all the way across the city until you get to the college.
