| The rules: | Proper helmet (at least 1995 "M" or
"SA"), as per OntarioSolo-Sprint rules. Noise restricted to 75 dB (noise
violations are at the judgement of track officials not a dB meter). Three-point
seatbelts are a minimum requirement. Roll bars are required for
convertible cars as per the 2005 CASC-OR Solo-1
rules which are available
here. We regret that Waterford Hills rules restricts the time that race cars may be on track for this lapping day. Race cars are defined as open-wheeled cars, cars with numbers and cars with noticeable decals on the paint (i.e. small decals are ok). Covering existing decals is an option, if practical. If you have any questions about whether or not your car will be allowed, please call Marshall McLean (519)771-1219 or send e-mail to wosca@hotmail.com. Waterford Hills is a challenging 2.4 km. road course with some elevation changes. Passing is not allowed unless the slower car uses the pit road. A detailed explanation of how our controlled passing works will be given during the driver's meeting. See the track map to get a feel for the layout of the course. See http://www.na-motorsports.com/Tracks/WaterfordHills.html for more information about the track. Including alternate directions from Detroit. See a one lap in car video (from Aug. 2002) here: 1-Lap of Waterford Or visit the tracks own web site at waterfordhills.com. |

| Directions: | Drive to Port Huron, Take highway
69 west from Port Huron to Flint for about 100 km. Take Highway 15 (Exit 145) south for
about 36 km (go straight over the I-75 and straight through the village of Clarkston). At
the lights at the end of Hwy. 15 (by the Amoco station), go left onto Route 25 and drive
for about 2.1 km. Turn left onto Waterford Side Road. Drive straight for about 150
meters and turn right into Oakland County Sports Club to the track. Total time from London is
about 2½
hours.
Alternate directions from Detroit are available on the track's website. Or see Google Maps here, but be warned that it's a business day in MI, and the recommend google route through the city, might not be the best. |
